My first thoughts about the iPhone Twitter client - TweetStack

tmp39F4

I’ve just bought a new iPhone Twitter app called TweetStack.
It has a great feature that my favorite Twitter app Tweetie doesn’t have, called “stacks” (groups). It works just like Groups in TweetDeck or Userlists in Seesmic Desktop. You can even import your groups from TweetDeck, and upload your stacks to TweetStacks servers.

You can organize the buttons in the toolbar so you can have fast and easy access to your stacks.

Your home stream or your stacks aren’t updated when you start the app. You have to click on the update icon (this could be Changed in the settings though).
I think that is a great feature because in that way you can pick up where you left, if you needed to read mail or send mail or something else on the phone.

All your stacks shows how many unread tweets there are, but you can mark all as read if you double tap on a tweet in the stack.

TweetStack crashes a lot and are a little buggy, but the developer says that next version will be out soon and fixes a lot of the bugs.

I think that I will use TweetStack instead of Tweetie for now because I will probably be more productive with it.
But I miss some features that Tweetie has, for example InstaPaper support and a bookmarklet to tweet links from iPhones web browser with.

Find more info about TweetStack here!

Update: The developer tweeted me that you can make a bookmarklet exactly in the same way you make it for Tweetie. Just Change the word "Tweetie" to "TweetStack" in the javascript.
Simple and great!

Some voices about TweetStack on Twitter (follow me here!):
