FriendFeed rival Nsyght improving rapidly http://j.mp/9bCOFl Comment:

Via a search in the quality knowledge base clipotech:

Nsyght | Live Stream.png

"Nsyght’s aim is ‘not replace social networks, but to enhance them’. As such, you aren’t required to re-friend people on Nsyght as you would on FriendFeed or Cliqset. Instead it uses the APIs of the services to channel your comments and conversations between Nysght and the other services you use." Via

Another great looking service that no one will use... When Facebook bought Friendfeed, it was not only Friendfeed that died. It was the whole genre.

Detailed Tour of iPad Touch UI Shows Why It’ll Be More Important Than iPhone

Detailed Tour of iPad Touch UI Shows Why It’ll Be More Important Than iPhone

"Software developer Fraser Spiers has been digging through Apple’s iPad videos, pulling screenshots to take a closer look at the details of the iPad’s UI. His conclusion? It’s going to provide a very good experience not just for media consumption, but also media creation." Via

Exactly!

I believe the iPad IS the future. This is how we will use all kinds of computers and mobile units in a near future. Apple is before it's time.

I don't care if there is no multi-tasking. The iPad opens up the apps so fast so you can easily switch between them. And I guess in iPhone OS 4.0 we will see a lot of cool new features. Why not multi-tasking then?

Twitter Launches Hovercards

svartling on twitter From a @pingmicro tweet:

"Because many of you use twitter.com to read and write tweets, we've been spending some time focusing on ways to improve your experience on the site. Today, we're introducing a feature called Hovercards that will be a handy way to interact with the folks behind each tweet" Via

Well, it looks useful but I almost ever use the Twitter HomePage. I use Hootsuite on my Mac and Twittelator on my iPhone.

How Easy or Hard Will Typing on the iPad Be? http://j.mp/aF0lPB

How Easy or Hard Will Typing on the iPad Be?

"A blog site with the splendid name of ‘The Russians Used a Pencil’ has a post up with some thoughts on typing on the iPad.  The author feels that typing in landscape mode should be fairly ‘adequate’ even for longer text entry, but that portrait mode may be a very different, and not very satisfactory, experience." Via

Well I believe it will be like it was when I first used the iPhone keyboard. It felt very unusual and a bit hard to type, but now after used it for a couple of years it feels great and I nearly type as fast as I do on my Macbook Pro.

Apple Demands Removal Of USB Sharing Feature In Stanza iPhone App

svartling on twitter @pingmicro tweets:

Apple Demands Removal Of USB Sharing Feature In Stanza iPhone App

"Just for your reference: the feature enabled users to transfer books in the ePub or eReader format to their mobile devices using a USB cable." Via

I believe this is because Apple doesn't want us to buy ebooks from their new iBooks store on the iPad or some other bookstore, and then import them into the free Stanza App..

It is also a sign that we will probably not be allowed to buy books in Swedish here in Sweden and then read them on the iPad...

Sigh...

Google Mail Checker for Chrome

Google Mail Checker

"Displays the number of unread messages in your Google Mail inbox. You can also click the button to open your inbox." Via

The Google Mail extension adds a nifty little button next to Google Chrome's address bar that provides an updated indicator of the unread messages in your inbox. It also lets you access your inbox with just one click. Via

Looks useful, but their is some other cool apps for us Mac users you can use instead. For example Google Notifier, Mailplane, Notify and a lot more.
