1,257 Users Switch To Bing Due To Google News Change

In Depth: How to dual-boot Linux and Windows - http://www.techradar.com/news...
Many of us like to run more than one operating system on a single machine. It's a great way of experimenting with how the other half live, testing new distributions and even playing a few Windows-based games. But dual and triple booting has always been considered something of a dark art. This is because it involves the double jeopardy of messing around with your disk partition tables and playing with a pre-installed operating system. If things go wrong, it can be a disaster. Or at least, that's the popular perception. The reality is that dual booting needn't be a risk, and installation can be effortless. With the latest distributions, you might not even notice the process. All this means that if you've been put off by older installations and those old horror stories of things going wrong, it's time to try dual booting again, and our our aim is to demystify exactly what is happening and give you the confidence to delve into the world of dual boot. But before we push off into the world... - Svartling

The Amplify Newsfeed Legend *http://bit.ly/cJ8obR

I've more or less quit blogging. I'm all Social now. Microblogging is my thing

Jul 2 svartling ™: I've more or less quit blogging. I'm all Social now. Microblogging is my thing. Amplify is a blog to but it's more like "blogging evolved". Curating, engaging and interaction makes Amplify stand out from the crowd.

Here is my Amplog: http://svartling.amplify.com/

Read:
Jul 2 svartling ™: It should be "quit" not "quite" :)
Jul 2 Josh Wills: You can edit the post. :)
Jul 2 svartling ™: Josh: I didn't know that I could that when the post was from my Amplify blog :) Thank you for the tip!
Jul 2 Rob Gordon: @Josh Wills Actually, I don't think you can edit posts that came from Amplify. Was going to post this question also because I don't like the way Amplify posts links here. I wrote @Eph Zero yesterday because she said she did it, but I don't know how.
Jul 2 Kathi [d/b/a fuzzyscorpio]: That really is an interesting tip! I haven't been able to edit any of my imports from Blogger or Wordpress. Could you clue me in please, @Josh Wills—is this new and applicable to all feeds, or is it Amplify-specific? Thanks.
Jul 2 Josh Wills: I think it's a function of amplify using the API vs. us crawling a feed like we do for blogger/wordpress.
Jul 2 svartling ™: I could edit it. It's done :)
Jul 2 Kathi [d/b/a fuzzyscorpio]: Thanks for sorting out my apples and oranges, @Josh Wills :)
Jul 2 svartling ™: Kathi: I think the difference is that Amplify posts get's real posts at Buzz. Like Native Buzz. Wordpress, blogger and such uses the feed, so they can only be changed if you edit the blog post at the blog.
Jul 2 Judson Dunn: I know, I am moving that direction also, but I feel bad about data being lost. I really like looking at all my old posts from years ago. I worry that if twitter, or buzz aren't around I won't be able to do that. I know I can export as atom etc, but realistically I'm probably too lazy... Buzz is working in the right direction here though, as a repository for all sorts of things.
Jul 2 Rob Gordon: Have you ever tried to find your old posts on Buzz Judson - it is extremely difficult - especially if you are a heavy user.
Jul 2 svartling ™: I save all my Buzz posts in Google reader by syndicating my own feed there. The search there is excellent!

Actually I do that with all my social networks and blogs...
Jul 2 Rob Gordon: I've just started doing that also, but I still can't get to my older posts. The "load more" link doesn't work after a point, and the search is terrible - a bit shocking for Google really. I hope they fix it.
Jul 2 Kathi [d/b/a fuzzyscorpio]: @Rob Gordon I've found that clearing my browser (Firefox) cache will unjam the "load more" link, but I have to do it a lot, and it seems to me it really shouldn't be necessary.
Jul 2 Eph Zero: @Rob Gordon Oops, sorry, I was actually out last night when you IMed. Always forget to change my status.

It looks like everyone else here has figured it out already: it seems you can edit Amplify entries because they create native posts, but you can't with other connected services (e.g., Google Reader).
