Running iPad Apps On The Mac - Exactly what I've been telling you ;)
This is exactly what I've been telling you all. I have always knew that the Mac's should get iOS on some kind. A Mac App Store is the perfect solution if they make it possible for us to run iOS apps on the Mac.
A dream will come true for me if this will be possible. iOS apps is a lot better than any desktop app. For example Twitter apps, Google Reader apps. Nothing comes near them on the desktop.
I would really love to run Twittelator, Flipboard, Reeder on my MacBook!
Awesome!
#mac #apps #ios
Why didn’t I see this? One of my first wishes when I got my iPad was that this software would run on a Mac. I forgot that, and Uncle Steve said it the other way. The store is coming to the Mac. The store is coming to the Mac. That’s the sleight of hand. What he really meant to say is that IOS software is coming to the Mac. Or maybe it’s the IOS hardware I’m writing this on is running Mac software, kind of the way Carbon ran old lifeless legacy Mac apps. Which one is the “real” OS and which one is running in a compatibility box? I have a funny feeling that right now, as I type this on an AirBook, I’m using the compatibility box. Right?
The iPad can run apps from another iOS device, the iPhone. Will the Mac be able to run apps coming from iOS, even if the Mac is a machine running OS X? We don’t know. The thing is, if iOS is actually OS X coming back to the Mac after 3 years of mobile adventures (and if Lion is “OS X meets iPad”), then Winer’s option could make sense. Developers could adapt iPad apps to bigger screens with relative ease, though I don’t know how you’d be supposed to run apps requiring tilt controls on a desktop computer.

Skyfire to Bring Flash Video to iOS Devices
Good for those that wants these. I don't.

CNNMoney.com reports that a new iOS application from Skyfire that converts Flash-based video to HTML5 has been approved by Apple and will go live in the App Store on Thursday. The app, which will be priced at $2.99, activates a function that allows Flash video content in the browser to be sent to Skyfire's servers, converted to HTML5, and sent back to the device for display.
The app won't translate games or other non-video content that runs in Flash, however. Still, Glueck estimates that the number of websites and videos that Skyfire will open up to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users is in the "millions."

Instapaper Founder’s Journey From Bagel Jockey to Publishing Pioneer
A post about one of my absolute favorite iPhone apps - Instapaper. They are wrong about that the Pro version costs a monthly fee. It's a one time only cost. I have it so I know.

Instapaper Founder’s Journey From Bagel Jockey to Publishing Pioneer http://goo.gl/fb/LE8XD http://j.mp/AllTech

#instapaper
Marco Arment started Instapaper, because he wanted to be able to read the Web pages he’d saved during the day on his train ride home. "A lot of people think that if you’re in a big city, you have [mobile connectivity] all the time," he laughs. The reality? Commuting from Manhattan to points north, Arment says, "I spent a lot of time underground with no service."
The free-to-join bookmarking service is now available for the iPhone, iPad, and Kindle, and has been lauded by fans and reviewers alike. It’s been profitable every month for the last couple of years. That’s why, though Instapaper started as a side project, Arment was able to ditch his full-time gig at Tumblr a few weeks ago and become a member of the entrepreneurial class.
The future of publishing: I think publishing will be very much what we see today, a long-tail enterprise. We are heading towards the major publishers having less influence and spending most of their attention on catering to something particular. You can now find something specific that you like in infinite supply. That’s a great thing.
