Where is all converted iOS apps that I need on my Mac?

Every time i start my Macbook I always have my iPad as a second screen to the left of it :) There is nothing that can compare to the apps I have on my iOS devices on a computer, thats why. That is also why I had hopes for that the iOS developers would convert all the cool apps like Boxcar, Smartr, Twittelator and many more to the Mac when the Mac App Store was launched. But very few apps has been converted yet and mostly games.. Doesnt the developers understand that there is no apps like these on the desktop? I hate clunky Adobe Air apps and running Web apps in the browser without all fetures I need. So please start converting!

MeeGo Dies (And Nokia WP7 is Born) on February 11?

Lets hope it will go better for Nokia then...

Via http://j.mp/iGADGETS

Amplify’d from www.i4u.com

The future of MeeGo looks bleak today, but the Nokia's future looks uncommonly bright. There's been suspicion[1] of a switch to the Windows Phone 7 platform for a few weeks now. This came to a head when Adnaan Ahmad of Berenberg Bank wrote an open letter to Nokia CEO Stephen Elop urging him to drop MeeGo and ally with Microsoft.

But the suspicion of a possible alliance with Microsoft has been enough to boost Nokia shares by 4% this week. No spokesperson at either company has commented yet, but some analysts expect a February 11 announcement from Mr. Elop. The Nokia CEO stated in late January that his company was open to "create and/or join other ecosystems".

We'll see just how open next week, right ahead of the Mobile World Congress.

Google Docs Refreshed: Adds Collections, Sharing Pane & More for Easier Use Read more

I think Google Docs will be a great Cloud storage soon.

It would be cool if more iOS apps supported it.

Via http://j.mp/iGADGETS

Google has refreshed the Google Docs documents list today, adding collections, a sharing pane and more features that make Google Docs a much nicer place to keep all of your documents. All of these improvements make one of our favorite tools even better, especially for users who keep all types of files in Google Docs.

In addition to the many new look and feel enhancements, Google Docs now has Priority Sorting which works like Google Priority Inbox to help you find important documents. There are new filters which you can find along the top of your documents menu.

Collections replace the folders, offering a nicer way to view your items and offers an easy place to keep related documents together. This is a must have if you use Google Docs to work with several groups.

For users who upload images to Google Docs you can also click on an image to launch a photo viewer in a full screen mode which offers a much nicer way to browse through your photos.

Testing TweetDecks new LongTweet service called Deck.ly. Deck.ly is a new service we have created that will allow you to send messages of unlimited length. Your fellow TweetDeck users will be able to read these messages in full directly in their TweetDeck apps thanks to the cross-platform app updates we have issued today.

Deck.ly long updates work by creating a special web page which contains your full message. A truncated version of your message, plus a link to this web page, is posted to Twitter. Anyone using the TweetDeck apps for Desktop, Chrome or Android that we updated today will be able to read the full text of the message directly in the app. No need to swap to a browser to read the message elsewhere. As a TweetDeck user you get the best, most integrated experience from Deck.ly. Because, as the saying goes, you're worth it...

Read It Later Version 2.4 for iOS – Login Support, Tweet Attribution & More

Instapaper's competitor Read It Later has updated with a very cool feature called Tweet Attribution. When saving links to read later from a Twitter client that supports it, it will include the complete tweet too and you can reply and retweet directly from Read It Later. Very cool.

image.png

Links saved from Twitter will now display the original tweet that contained the link and give you the ability to retweet it directly. This not only allows you to remember where/why you saved a link, but allows you to respond to and/or give credit to the original poster after reading!

This will work on new links saved after updating to 2.4. For the tweet to be saved with your link, the Twitter client you used to save the link with needs to support this new feature. Three Twitter apps already support this feature (Echofon, SimplyTweet, and Gravity) and more are on the way. If you use another Twitter client and would like this feature, I recommend you suggest it the app’s developers.

Fail: Samsung admits its iPad-rival Galaxy Tab sales were actually "quite small"

So they haven't sold 2 millions Galaxy Tab. This is bas Samsung, really bad...

image.png

AppleInsider :

After boasting last fall that sales of its Galaxy Tab were "faster than expected" and had reached 2 million, Samsung has now admitted to analysts that its figures were only "sell-in" inventory shipped to retailers, and that actual units bought by consumers were "quite small."

A month after announcing plans to launch its new 7 inch tablet on all four US carriers at an event in September, Samsung claimed it had sold 600,000 units, and by the end of the quarter it had reported sales of 2 million.

However, in the company's quarterly earnings call with investors on Friday, Samsung executive Lee Young-hee clarified that those numbers related only to inventory channel stuffing, and did not represent actual sales to end users, according to a report by Wall Street Journal blogger Evan Ramstad.

By "sales" we mean unsold inventory

"As you heard," Lee replied to a question asking for more detail on Galaxy Tab sale numbers, "our sell-in was quite aggressive and this first quarterly result was quite, you know, fourth-quarter unit [figure] was around two million.

"Then, in terms of sell-out, we also believe it was quite small. We believe, as the introduction of new device, it was required to have consumers invest in the device. So therefore, even though sell-out wasn’t as fast as we expected, we still believe sell-out was quite OK."
