Apple Rolls Out iBooks Feature Page - Landscape mode looks good

"Apple confirms that the application will utilize the open ePub standard, which will allow users to import any open ePub content into iTunes and sync it with their iPad for viewing, even content not acquired through the iBookstore. Apple has been quiet about any sort of digital rights management (DRM) for content sold through the iBookstore, but reports have suggested that it will utilize a version of Apple's FairPlay DRM that was formerly used on iTunes Store music and continues to be used on video content distributed via iTunes." Support for the open ePub standard is great. Then we can add all free public domain ebooks. All free books that I've found while using the great iPhone app Stanza must work.
You can also convert any PDF file to ePub format.

My guess is that Stanza will also release an iPad version soon.

I use my iPhone for everything now. Blogging, reading, music, surfing,
communicating and much more!

I haven't read a real newspaper, magasine or book in years now. I use
my iPhone for that.
